In this backdrop attention has been shifted towards the emerging economies in the global South which have shown promises through strong economic growth during the last two decades.
Despite the enormous potential of South-South cooperation, it must be acknowledged that no enduring and effective changes can take place without the political will and commitment from concerned governments.
