The Bangladesh Under-21 hockey team left Dhaka on Tuesday morning for India to take part in the FIH Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup, set to begin on 28 November in Chennai and Madurai.
After suffering another heavy defeat in the third and final match in the qualifiers play-off series against Pakistan, Bangladesh hockey team’s Dutch coach Siegfried Aikman said the number of goals conceded had simply been too much for his side.
Pakistan coach Muhammad Usman, meanwhile, anticipates a closely contested match.
