Pakistan opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif was arrested yesterday for graft, officials said, the latest corruption allegation against the Sharif political dynasty that was ousted from power by ex-cricketer Imran Khan in elections this summer.
Two separate meetings, headed by ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, PML-N leaders decide to rally behind Nawaz's younger brother, Shahbaz Sharif, as his eventual successor, and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, is tapped to take over as interim prime minister.
