Myopia rates in children on the rise

Myopia is a refractive error where the focusing power of the lens or the whole eye alters in such a way that the image is formed in front of the retina instead of on the retina. It happens because of several reasons ranging from genetic and developmental anomalies to malnutrition, exposure to too much artificial light, or even lack of exposure to enough sunlight.
