Two festival-honoured films, ‘Fereshteh’ and ‘Barir Naam Shahana’, now in Bangladeshi theatres

After travelling the international festival circuit, two acclaimed films — “Fereshteh” and “Barir Naam Shahana” — are finally being released for audiences in Bangladesh. Starting today, both titles will screen across local theatres. Alongside these, Japanese anime blockbuster “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” has also been showing since Tuesday (September 16) at Star Cineplex.

‘Fereshteh’ brings Jaya Ahsan back to Bangladeshi screens this September

After travelling the international festival circuit, Jaya Ahsan–starrer “Fereshteh” is finally set for a Bangladesh release. The Bangladesh–Iran joint production will hit all local cineplexes on September 19, following a three–year wait.

22nd DIFF / Dhaka Int’l Film Festival kicks off today, ‘Mujib’ and ‘Fereshteh’ to be screened for free

The 22nd Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) officially kicks off today, featuring a lineup of around 250 films from 74 countries, including Bangladesh. The festival, spanning nine days from January 20 to January 28, will showcase 71 films from Bangladesh. Notably, the films “Mujib: The Making of a Nation” and “Fereshteh” will be available for viewing at the festival free of charge.
