A Supreme Court lawyer has served a legal notice seeking a halt to the move by Dhaka Metropolitan Police to collect identification information of landlords and tenants in Dhaka terming it as “violation of rights to privacy”.
The government for the first time will begin a census of Rohingyas staying in Bangladesh illegally to give them special identity documents and prepare a database.
