While students were happy with Dhaka University's decision to allow graduates from other institutions to enrol in its master's degree courses, they expressed dissatisfaction over the university setting a CGPA of 3.25 as minimum requirement for giving admission tests.
Recently, job postings focus too much on CGPA and not the candidates' capabilities.
As per the existing socio-cultural practices, a community like ours value CGPAs very highly. Students firmly believe that obtaining a high CGPA is the only gateway to secure a good job.
