The Local Government Reform Commission has proposed holding all local government elections under a single schedule before the next national election.
As per proposals sent to constitution reform commission
If the interim government fails to be neutral, it cannot hold the election, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said yesterday. Then a neutral government would be needed, he said.
The BNP yesterday submitted to the constitution reform commission its 62 recommendations designed to establish a rules-based structure and ensure checks and balances of power.
