Amrish Puri who played a prominent character in "Gadar – Ek Prem Katha (2001)", was absent in the film's sequel due to the legendary actor's demise on January 12, 2005. But interestingly, the creators were able to make him come alive in a crucial scene in "Gadar 2" with CGI.
