Malaysia's 2027 Asian Cup hopes are over after the country was hit with 3-0 forfeits in two qualifiers for fielding ineligible players, the regional football body said Tuesday, sending Vietnam through instead.

International football is set to return to the National Stadium in Dhaka after nearly four years, with Bangladesh hosting Singapore in an AFC Asian Cup qualifier on June 10. The last international match at the venue took place in 2020, before it was closed for renovation.
