Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed returned home today after the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday upheld the suspension of the pacer over illegal bowling action.

Talking to the reporters at Dhaka airport, Taskin said he aspires to work on to rectify his bowling action and come back to international cricket soon.

Despite being deemed as having an illegal bowling action on March 19, Taskin stayed with the team, who are in the middle of their World Twenty20 campaign in India, since he had asked for a review of the report conducted by an independent testing center in Chennai.

However, following the ICC’s announcement of Taskin’s suspension, the team management decided to send him back.

A youngster, Taskin Ahmed will now have to work on his action and go through another test. Only if he passes that test can he bowl in international cricket again.

Taskin has been one of the pillars who has brought about the pace revolution in the spin-den of Bangladesh’s national cricket team.

On March 19, ICC banned Taskin and a spinner Arafat Sunny for their bowling action at a time when the team is competing at the Twenty20 World Cup being held in India.

The ban drew flak from Bangladesh cricket supporters who have expressed their bitter opinions in social media.
