Naeem's all-round display helps Chittagong to 111-run win over Rajshahi
Chittagong Kings' Naeem Islam delivered with bat and ball to help his side to a 111-run win over Durbar Rajshahi in a Bangladesh Premier League group-stage fixture in Chattogram on Monday.
Naeem smashed three sixes and five fours for his 41-ball 56 to propel Chittagong to 191-8 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium and then returned figures of 2-6 from three overs to help bundle out Rajshahi for 80 in 14.2 overs.
Naeem opened the batting for Chittagong and put together an 84-run stand for the second wicket with Graham Clark (28-ball 45) after Usman Khan got dismissed in the second over. Mohammad Mithun (20-ball 32) and Haider Ali (14-ball 25) produced quickfire cameos to help Chittagong past the 180-mark.
