Bangladesh to host Pakistan hockey team for qualifying series in November

The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) on Tuesday confirmed the schedule of a best of three-match series between Bangladesh and Pakistan, with the winners earning a place in the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup Qualifiers.
Bangladesh will host Pakistan on November 13, 14 and 16 at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium to decide the sixth team to qualify for the World Cup Qualifiers. This decision had come to find a sixth-place team in the Asia Cup after Pakistan had declined to play in the event in India earlier this month.
"The AHF has officially announced that Pakistan and Bangladesh will contest in a three-match hockey series in Dhaka this November, with the winner earning a place in the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup Qualifiers," read a press release on the official website of AHF.
It also added, "The high-stakes encounter is expected to generate significant excitement in both nations, as the outcome will directly determine which team advances to the next stage on the road to the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup."
