Siddikur fails in Delhi

Siddikur Rahman failed to make the cut in the Hero Indian Open after carding an eight-over-par (80) in the second round for an aggregate of 11-over-par (155).

The two-time Asian Tour winner returned to the DLF Golf and Country Club on Saturday morning to finish the 10 remaining holes of the second round, and had a disastrous time as he slipped from overnight 63rd position to 98th position eventually. A total of 69 players made the cut, with defending champion SSP Chawrasia sharing the lead with two other golfers at five-under-par (139).

The second round of this event is the worst of the season till date for Siddikur, who has taken part in five Asian Tour events this season, missing cuts in two of those events. The 32-year-old golfer is currently in 18th position in the tour's Order of Merit.
