The Bangladesh U-17 women's football team departed for the UAE on Sunday morning to begin their preparation for the upcoming AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers.

However, three members of the coaching staff – assistant coach Joya Chakma, goalkeeping coach Imon, and team manager Mirona Khatun – were unable to travel with the squad due to visa complications. Although visas for all players, the head coach, and other officials were approved, the trio's applications remained pending.

The three are expected to join the team in Dubai once their visas are cleared, likely within the next couple of days.

A similar visa issue had recently prevented cricketer Soumya Sarkar from joining Bangladesh's squad for the Afghanistan series.

The AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers will be held in Jordan from October 13 to 17. On their way to Amman, the young Tigresses will play two friendly matches in Dubai –  against Syria on October 7 and the UAE on October 9 – as part of their final preparation.
