Chhetri scores as India beat Maldives 3-0

India faced off against Maldives today in Shillong in a friendly match ahead of their upcoming Asian Cup Qualifiers clash against Bangladesh and won the tie by a convincing 3-0 margin with the returning Sunil Chhetri also getting into the score sheet.
Chhetri, who has come out of retirement ahead of the Bangladesh match, scored from a header in the 76th minute to make it 3-0 for the hosts.
Before Chhetri, Rahul Bheke and Liston Colaco scored one goal each, both from corners, as India made easy work of Maldives.
The Bangladesh team, bolstered by the inclusion of Sheffield United midfielder Hamza Choudhury, will face off against India at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on March 25 in the first leg of the third round qualifying match.
