Chelsea agree £47.5 million deal for Sterling

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Raheem Sterling in a deal worth £47.5 million, reports indicated yesterday.

27-year-old Sterling has agreed personal terms on a five-year contract ahead of a medical. At the current rate of progress, he is expected to join the Blues on their pre-season tour of the USA.

Sterling scored 131 goals in 339 appearances in seven years for reigning Premier League champions Man City. He joined City from Liverpool for £44 million in July 2015 and has since won four Premier League titles and one FA Cup.
