Cabrera omits six on eve of departure for Vietnam

Bangladesh coach Javier Cabrera omitted six players from the 28-member preliminary list ahead of departure for Vietnam on Friday.

Twenty eight members had been training in the Dhaka camp for the past week since the announcement of the preliminary squad.  Leicester City midfielder Hamza Chowdhury has also been added to the roster and he is scheduled to join the rest of the members in Hanoi.

The six members omitted are: goalkeeper Ishaque Akondo; defenders Isa Faysal, Monjurur Rahman Manik, and Shakil Hossain; midfielder Sohel Rana Jr; and forward Rafiqul Islam.

The team will leave for Vietnam on Friday night and play a friendly match against the hosts before flying away to Singapore to play the final AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers fixture against the hosts.
