Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham says he is back to his best and eager to shine in Saturday's El Clasico against Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The England international, who endured a slow start to the season after shoulder surgery, declared himself fully fit and ready for the challenge.

"I feel very good and happy -- finally back on the pitch," Bellingham said. "In the last few games before the break, and then against Getafe and Juve, I started to feel better, closer to my best form. I'm strong and positive, probably in the best physical condition I've been in a long time."

Bellingham, who recently netted his first Champions League goal of the campaign, emphasised the importance of composure in the high-pressure fixture.

"A very important part is managing the match, the moment, emotions, and certain details that make all the difference," he said. "Last year, when we were behind, it affected us too much. Now it's about staying mentally stable throughout the 90 minutes."

Calling El Clasico "one of the biggest matches in the world," Bellingham said he grew up watching the rivalry.

"I've had great moments and some tougher ones, but it's incredible to play, especially at home. I respect what this match means -- the pressure, the demands, the quality. It's important that we get the win."

Real lead Barcelona by two points in La Liga, with Kylian Mbappe in blistering form and Bellingham ready to make his mark on Spain's biggest stage.
