Bangladesh girls romp into final
Bangladesh stormed into the final of the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional (South & Central) Championship after a 9-1 win against hosts Tajikistan in the semifinal at the Aviator Stadium in Dushanbe today.
Tohura Khatun and Monica scored hattricks while Anuching Mogini scored a brace and Akhi Akter scored one in this lopsided affair. Bangladesh, the defending champions, scored five goals in the first half.
Bangladesh will play in the final tomorrow against India, who edged past Iran 4-3 in the other semifinal earlier in the day. Bangladesh had beaten India in their opening group fixture by 3-1 goals.
