Opening game abandoned due to rain

The first match in the Bangladesh Premier League 2016 between champions Comilla Victorians and Rajshahi Kings at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur was abandoned due to incessant rain today.

The cut off time for a 5-over game was 5:16 pm local time, but as rain continued, the match officials decided to abandoned the match where Rajshahi had earlier won the toss and decided to field considering the conditions at Mirpur.
