West Indies name squad for Bangladesh Tests
Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming two-match home Test series against Bangladesh, beginning with the first Test in Antigua from November 22.
The second and final fixture of the series, part of the World Test Championship, will be held in Jamaica from November 30.
Led by Kraigg Brathwaite, the Windies squad features an exciting mix of seasoned, in-form players and fresh talent.
In-form Justin Greaves is in the squad following a sensational run in the CG United Super50 Cup, where he smashed three centuries. Kevin Sinclair also returns and will be a valuable spin option for the hosts.
Meanwhile, Jason Holder will be missing the series as he continues rehabilitation for a shoulder injury.
The Bangladesh Test squad, without injured all-format skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto, is already in the Caribbean. Shanto, who missed the series-deciding third ODI against Afghanistan last week, suffered a groin injury while fielding in the second ODI against Afghanistan.
West Indies Squad:
Kraigg Brathwaite (Captain), Joshua Da Silva (Vice-Captain), Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Tevin Imlach, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Mikyle Louis, Anderson Phillip, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, Kevin Sinclair, Jomel Warrican
