The Bangladesh Women’s team continued their strong form in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier 2026 with an emphatic 80-run victory over Namibia at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, on Thursday.

With this win, Bangladesh advanced to the Super Six stage of the qualifiers and moved closer to securing a place in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England in June. The Tigresses now need to finish in the top four of the Super Six to qualify.

This was Bangladesh’s third consecutive win, following earlier victories over the United States by 21 runs and Papua New Guinea by 30 runs.

Bangladesh posted 144 for 7 in 20 overs on a bowler-friendly pitch after being sent in to bat. Sobhana Mostary top-scored with 27 off 23 balls, while Dilara Akter added quick runs with 25 off 17 balls. Namibia’s Sylvia Shihepo was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2 for 21.

In reply, Namibia were bowled out for 64 in 17.5 overs.

Sanjida Akter Meghla led Bangladesh’s bowling attack with figures of 4 for 14, supported by Rabeya Khan and Fahima Khatun, who claimed three wickets each.
