Tigresses face SA in World Cup warm-up fixture on Thursday

Bangladesh women's team will face their South African counterparts in their opening warm-up fixture of the upcoming ICC Women's World Cup at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Thursday.
The match is scheduled to start at 3:30 pm (Bangladesh time).
The Tigresses were initially scheduled to face Sri Lanka 'A' team in their first warm-up fixture, but their opponents were changed by the organisers.
The women's team completed their first practice session at the Colombo Cricket Club (CCC) on Wednesday after reaching Sri Lanka on the previous day.
They will face Sri Lanka on September 27 in their second and last warm-up match at the CCC ahead of the showpiece event.
The Tigresses will begin their World Cup campaign against Pakistan at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on October 2.
The team will then travel to Guwahati for their next two games against England and New Zealand on October 7 and 10 respectively before they move to Visakhapatnam to face South Africa and Australia on October 13 and 16 respectively.
Bangladesh's last two games in the World Cup will be held in Navi Mumbai against Sri Lanka and India on October 20 and 26 respectively.
This will be the women's team's second-ever appearance in the 50-over World Cup. In 2022, they qualified for the tournament for the first time and finished seventh in the eight-team tournament with one win in seven games.
