Third ODI sold out
Bangladesh will play their third and final ODI against hosts Ireland at the Cloud County Ground in Chelmsford tomorrow (Sunday) in front of a sell-out crowd.
According to Essex cricket, tickets for the third one-day international have been sold out and there will be no tickets available to purchase on the gates for these fixtures.
With six tiers of seating and one double-tiered stand, the stadium can host up to 6,500 people.
Bangladesh batter Najmul Hossain Shanto struck his maiden ODI hundred as Bangladesh sealed a win in dramatic style on Friday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series after the first game was abandoned due to rain.
After the match, Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal and Shanto both acknowledged 'unbelievable' crowd support in Chelmsford.
"We didn't feel that we are outside Bangladesh, we feel like playing at home. Thanks to the crowd for coming, hopefully they will continue to support us like this," said Shanto.
"Wherever you are playing in England the support is unbelievable. I still remember in 2017 at the Oval against England our supporters outnumbered theirs and their motivation always plays a huge role," added Tamim during post-match presentation in front of 4000 partisan fans.
