Sohan, Mosaddek shine as Rajshahi, Dhaka seal big wins in NCL T20

Blistering knocks from Habibur Rahman Sohan and Mosaddek Hossain powered Rajshahi Division and Dhaka Division to commanding wins as the National Cricket League (NCL) T20 resumed in Sylhet after a 10-day break on Friday.
In the day's first game at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Habibur smashed 94 off 45 balls with 10 fours and six sixes, while skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto added 65 off 39. Rajshahi cruised to 172-2 in 16.1 overs to seal an eight-wicket win over Khulna Division.
Earlier, Soumya Sarkar (63 off 34) and Afif Hossain (50 off 45) had guided Khulna to 171-7 in 20 overs after being sent in. Left-arm spinner Nihaduzzaman picked up two wickets for 20 runs in three overs for Rajshahi.
In the second match, Dhaka recovered from 67-3 in the 12th over to post 171-3, thanks to an unbeaten 104-run stand between Mosaddek and Ariful Islam. Mosaddek struck five fours and four sixes in his 32-ball 64, while Ariful remained unbeaten on 59 off 49.
Dhaka's bowlers then bundled Rangpur Division out for 100 in 17.1 overs to complete a 71-run victory. Left-arm spinner Taibur Rahman returned figures of 3-22, with Nazmul Islam Apu and Ripon Mondol taking two wickets each.
Tomorrow, Barishal Division face Sylhet Division, while Chattogram Division take on Dhaka Metro, both at the same venue.
