The selectors have added all-rounder Shamim Hossain to the Bangladesh squad for their third and final T20I against Ireland at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram on Tuesday.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) made the announcement in a press release issued on Sunday.

The series is currently tied at 1-1 after the hosts won the second T20I by four wickets on Saturday.

Earlier, skipper Litton Das had displayed displeasure at Shamim being dropped from the side for the first two T20Is, saying he had asked the selectors to keep him with the side.

Chief selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu had retorted by saying it was under the selection panel's jurisdiction to make the call and had hinted that Shamim could return for the final match.

No other changes were made as the Tigers are set to go into the series-deciding match with a 16-member squad.

Bangladesh Squad: Litton Das (c), Saif Hassan (vc), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Tawhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali Anik, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mahidul Islam Ankon, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shoriful Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin, Shamim Hossain.
