Rishad wicketless in Hobart’s rare home defeat
Hobart Hurricanes' streak of nine home victories came to an end with a 40-run loss to Perth Scorchers in a Big Bash League (BBL) clash in Hobart on Thursday.
Asked to bat, Perth set a challenging target after amassing 229-3, powered by Mitchell Marsh's 102 off 58 balls and Aaron Hardie's unbeaten 94 off 43 deliveries at Bellerive Oval.
In reply, Hobart were 189 all out. Perth's Ashton Agar led the bowling attack with three scalps for 38 runs.
Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain bowled four overs, conceding 35 runs, the second-best economy for his team. He now has eight wickets from six fixtures so far in his debut BBL season.
With the bat at No. 10, the right-hander made 10 runs from eight balls, striking two boundaries, in his second BBL knock of the season.
