Rangpur, Rajshahi reach Notun Kuri cricket final

Rangpur and Rajshahi Zones booked their places in the final of the cricket event at the Notun Kuri Sports after winning their respective semi-finals at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

The final will be held at the same venue on Friday.

In the first semi-final, Rangpur defeated Faridpur by eight runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method. Chasing 90, Rangpur reached 52 for no loss in five overs before rain halted play, with the revised target handing them victory.

In the second semi-final, Rajshahi posted 125 for four in 10 overs, thanks to Sadid's 53, before restricting Sylhet to 67 for seven in their allotted 10 overs to seal a comfortable win.
