Mustafizur's Dubai in ILT20 playoffs after beating Taskin's Sharjah

Mustafizur Rahman's Dubai Capitals qualified for the playoffs in the ongoing ILT20 after they beat Taskin Ahmed-featured Sharjah Warriorz in their penultimate league match in Dubai on Wednesday.

It was the last match for both Mustafizur and Taskin in the ongoing ILT20 as they got NOC until December 24. The Bangladesh pace duo is expected to return home on Thursday to join their respective Bangladesh Premier League T20 sides.

At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (DICS), Sharjah could only make 134 for eight in their 20 overs with Mustafizur finishing with 1-27 in his alloted four overs after asked to bat.

Although Jordan Cox made an unbeaten 50-ball 61 while Shayan Jahangir made 51runs at the top, Dubai needed 19.1 overs to chase the below-par target.

Taskin took one wicket spending 29 runs in 3.1 overs.

The win also confirmed Dubai's berth in the playoffs after Desert Vipers and MI Emirates.

However, despite the defeat, Sharjah still remained in the contention for bagging the last playoff spot as they are currently tied with Gulf Giants and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders with six points from nine matches.
