Mushfiqur Rahim stranded in Jeddah amid US-Israel, Iran war
Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim has been stranded at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah due to the war between USA-Israel and Iran.
Mushfiqur shared the update on his official Facebook page on Saturday. “Assalamualaikum all..I came to Macca for the umrah hajj couple of days back…Alhamdulillah, had finish my hajj and heading back to Bangladesh via Dubai ( emirates) today..we have flown this morning from Jeddah to Dubai via EK 0806, but unfortunately, due to the war between USA , ISRAEL AND IRAN, all the flight has return to Jeddah, and now I am in Jeddah airpot including thousands of passengers…Only Almighty Allah knows when and how we will be able to go to Dhaka along with other Bangladeshi people. Seeking prayers,” read Mushfiqur’s post.
The USA and Israel launched attacks across Iran, to which the Gulf nation retaliated with strikes across several Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, where US airbases are hosted.
