'Illegal' BCB elections: 38 clubs announce league boycott

Thirty-eight disgruntled clubs have decided to boycott club cricket and cricket at division and district level over the irregularities in BCB elections.
Rafiqul Islam Babu, an organiser from one of the clubs, said in a press conference on Wednesday that they are boycotting all the domestic leagues.
Tamim Iqbal and organisers such as Masuduzzaman and Abdullah Al Fuad Redwan spoke in a press conference today where the decision was announced.
"We won't play," Masuduzzaman, councilor and chairman of Mohammedan's cricket committee, said in his speech.
"Not only in Dhaka, but at the district level as well, we are boycotting," he added.
Masuduzzaman also said they do not recognise Aminul Islam Bulbul as BCB president and said there was no intention from the clubs to sit with Aminul. Six clubs from The Dhaka Premier League were among those 38 clubs.
