Grateful Khawaja remembers those less ‘safe and secure’ on Eid

As Eid-ul-Fitr arrives once again, athletes around the world are sharing their festive wishes with fans. Among them, Australia opener Usman Khawaja took to social media, radiating gratitude on this special day.
"Grateful for everything I have been given. We live in the most beautiful country, safe and secure," Khawaja wrote, posting a heartfelt family photo today.
The 38-year-old seasoned batter, with 5,930 runs in 144 Test innings, is known for his consistent support of the Palestinian cause. He appeared to subtly acknowledge the hardships faced by those in conflict-ridden regions.
His closing words -- "My thoughts and prayers go out to those not so lucky" -- carried a weight of compassion, hinting at his concern for the victims of recent Israeli attacks on Palestine.
