Five BPL franchises confirmed

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) governing council of the Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed on Thursday the list of participating franchises for the forthcoming edition of the BPL T20.

Following the completion of the franchise registration and evaluation process, the BPL governing council has approved the following five franchises for participation in the tournament: 1. Dhaka Capitals, 2. Chattogram Royals, 3. Rajshahi Warriors, 4. Rangpur Riders, 5. Sylhet Titans.

Among the five franchises, Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders had previously participated in the BPL while Chattogram Royals, Rajshahi Warriors and Sylhet Titans are new franchises.

The 12th edition of the franchise-based T20 tournament will take place between December 19, 2025 to January 16, 2026, BCB president Aminul Islam Bulbul told the media on Wednesday.
