Rangpur Riders' final group-stage match against Central Districts in the Global Super League (GSL) ended in a no result due to bad weather at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday.

In the heavily rain-interrupted match, Rangpur were bowled out for a mere 79 in 13.5 overs in the truncated 14-over innings after electing to bat first.

Rangpur did not have to try and defend their paltry total as rain did not allow for the second innings to commence.

Rangpur, the defending champions, had already qualified for the final with three consecutive wins in their previous three games.

With the no result against the Kiwi side, they ended their group-stage campaign in the five-team tournament undefeated.

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) club will face Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final on Friday.
