Bangladesh icon Tamim Iqbal will be honoured with special mementoes from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) ahead of the presentation ceremony of Friday's Bangladesh Premier League final, acknowledging his remarkable 17-year career.
Tamim, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket, is leading Fortune Barishal as they aim to defend their title against Chittagong Kings at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
The left-handed opener had retired as Bangladesh's highest run-scorer in ODIs (8,357), holds the most centuries across formats (25), and is the first Bangladeshi to surpass 15,000 international runs.
