Bangladesh could make waves in the Women's Premier League for the first time as Marufa Akter, Shorna Akter, and Rabeya Khan gear up for the WPL 2026 auction on November 27 in New Delhi.

All three enter the auction with a base price of INR 30 lakh, offering teams a chance to snap up Bangladesh's emerging stars. The trio, however, have been involved in the WPL auction in the previous editions but remained unsold.

Pace sensation Marufa is likely to be the centre of attention after her searing in-swingers and early breakthroughs at the Women's World Cup 2025 turned heads worldwide.

Shorna, meanwhile, impressed as a versatile performer, racking up 116 runs and picking six wickets in seven matches, including a blistering 34-ball fifty, while Rabeya Khan proved her mettle with seven wickets and 87 runs across the tournament.

The WPL mega auction features 227 registered players, including 83 overseas cricketers, with Australia topping the list with 23 entrants.
