The International Cricket Council (ICC) has finalised Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai as the Indian venues for the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka will co-host the tournament alongside India, with matches expected to be held in Colombo and Kandy, along with one additional venue to be finalised.

The tournament will run from February 7 to March 8, 2026, with the final set to be played at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. The ICC is likely to release the full schedule next week, along with team groupings and ticketing details.

As per the agreement between the BCCI and PCB, Pakistan will play all its matches in Sri Lanka, including the final if they qualify. If Sri Lanka reaches the semi-finals, their match will also be held in Colombo. The India–Pakistan group match will take place in Colombo as well.

The 2026 edition will follow the same format as 2024: 20 teams, divided into four groups of five, with the top two from each group advancing to the Super Eight, followed by semifinals and a final.

Alongside hosts India and Sri Lanka, automatic qualification was secured by Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, USA and West Indies.

New Zealand, Pakistan and Ireland qualified via T20I rankings. The remaining spots were filled by Canada (Americas), Italy and Netherlands (Europe), Namibia and Zimbabwe (Africa), and Nepal, Oman and UAE (Asia-EAP).

India, the defending champions after defeating South Africa in the 2024 final in Barbados, will look to retain their title. Each Indian venue is expected to host at least six matches, with fewer cities chosen compared to the 2023 World Cup.
