With debutant Kagiso Rabada's hat-trick against Bangladesh in the first match of three-match series at Mirpur today, only two bowlers have managed to bag a hat-trick against the Tigers in ODI.

Twenty-year-old Rabada picked up the hat-trick on the last three balls of the second over of his ODI career.

The right-arm fast bowler sent back opener Tamim Iqbal, Litton Das and Mahmudullah to reach the milestone.

In the match, Rabada bagged a total of six wickets in eight overs with three maidens, giving away just 16 runs, achieving the best bowling figure as a debutant in ODI history.

Former Sri Lankan pacer Chaminda Vaas was the first bowler to pick up a hat-trick against the Tigers during the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2003.

The southpaw picked up the wickets of Hannan Sarkar, Mohammad Ashraful and Ehsanul Haque in the first three balls of that match.

In the history of ODI, six Pakistani and four Sri Lankan bowlers have picked up seven hat-tricks, the highest for any team, while Kenyan bowlers are yet to pick up a hat-trick for their side.

Till today, there have been four hat-tricks by four Bangladeshi bowlers in ODI.
