Sonam Kapoor changed her name!

The wedding of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja was a star-studded gathering, ushering in many Bollywood personalities under the same roof. While fans have had their share of gushes and squeals at the much talked-about ceremony, there were a few "critics" who decided to leave a bitter aftertaste regarding Sonam Kapoor's decision to change her last name. That's right; Sonam Kapoor is now Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, as indicated by her sudden name change on social media. Some individuals quickly jumped in to criticize Sonam of this name change, suggesting that a self-proclaimed feminist like her should have never done such a thing. Sonam wasted no time in jumping to a response, saying that it was entirely her own choice to keep both her father's name (Kapoor) and her husband's name (Ahuja). "Anand has also changed his name, but nobody is talking about that. I changed my name on social media to reflect exactly the fact that I have made a choice by myself. Nobody put a gun to my head," stated the famed actor. It is to be noted that Anand Ahuja is now known as Anand S Ahuja on social media, with the "S" apparently indicating his wife's name, "Sonam".
