Priota Iftekhar

2018 winner of 'Miss Culture Worldwide'; the very first international pageant solo winner for Bangladesh, Priota Iftekhar, has proven to be an idol for women everywhere. She has been hailed 'The Flag Girl' and rightfully so, being the first person ever to raise their flag for women's right to travel. In an interview with Star Showbiz, she has shared the secret behind her flawless beauty.

Skincare: Priota has sensitive and oily skin, which is why she prefers her products to be gel-based. She uses Avène Cleansing Gel for cleaning her face. Then, she moisturises her face with Avène Cleanance MAT, as suggested by her dermatologist. She advises everyone to check their skin-type before using any product promoted by the media. She can't use any cream-based or scented products, as they may irritate her skin. For removing her makeup, she uses MAC Gently Off Eye and Lip Makeup Remover and then, cleanses her face with Micellar Water, using cotton swabs. She goes once a month for diamond peeling. She tries to use as little makeup as possible and only uses well-known brands. If possible, she doesn't use makeup at all during shoots. As studio lights are very bright, she applies a little sunscreen to protect her skin.

Haircare: As she has to apply heat frequently to her hair for styling, she applies either onion oil or argan oil in her hair at night to protect from damage. She washes it thoroughly in the morning with OGX Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo and conditions her hair with Argan Oil of Morocco, from the same brand. For soft, silky and flowing hair, she lightly pats her hair dry and applies Valinta Hair Serum. Before applying heat, she always uses a general brand of argan oil heat protector.

Makeup: She first applies primer on her clean face and then, a very light coat of Bobbi Brown Foundation, either exactly her shade, or a shade darker. She prefers a natural and neutral look. She then puts gel-based eyeliner from MAC, preferably brown, does her eyebrows, applies blush and bronzer from MAC or Bobbi Brown very lightly and finishes with a matte-finish lipstick. Her favourite lipstick shade is taupe. She goes out without makeup sometimes, as there's this beauty and innocence in it. She believes makeup should only enhance one's natural beauty. In special events, she wears thicker eyeliner and sometimes wears natural looking fake lashes as well. She contours her nose and chin very lightly. Her favourite brands of makeup are MAC and Bobbi Brown. She also likes NYX's lipglosses and matte lipsticks.

Regular wear: In public eye, she prefers wearing Bangladeshi products. She likes to experiment with earrings in the shapes of Kulas, Haatpakhas, Bangladeshi coins, Hilsa fish and other exotic things. She wears them with nice tops or Sarees. She likes to experiment with Sarees as well, making gowns out of them to represent Bangladesh. She likes this unique style. In official places, she wears blazers made from Gamchhas, Lungis or dresses made from Nokshikathas. For trips, she likes her clothing to be extremely comfortable, like loose-fitting trousers and shirts with a jacket, and ties her hair in a high ponytail.

Party wear: In parties, she likes to wear similar clothing. Gowns made from Sarees, Sarees over pants or jeans or skirts are her favourite kind. Her style is a fusion between east and west, along with a representation of her culture.
