New metal for 2016: BMW 7 series (G11)

Slated to come to our shores sometime in mid-2016, the latest BMW 7 series diesel is quite the looker. Handsome is an understatement, and at present it's a glorious counter to the Chris Bangle era of hideous flame surfacing.

As always with BMW's flagship sedan, it comes loaded with amenities and electronic trickery, such as the Executive Drive Pro active chassis. The i-Drive system now includes gesture control and touch command and more. How much of the tech makes it to the export models that'll come to Bangladesh remains to be seen.

The model that is most likely to arrive here is the 730d, powered by a 3.0 litre inline six turbo-diesel with 265 HP and an astonishing 457 lb-ft of torque. Standard transmission is an eight-speed Steptronic gearbox.
