PM flies to London tomorrow

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina flies to London tomorrow morning on a week-long visit to the United Kingdom.

A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the premier and her entourage will take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for London at 9:45am.

The flight is scheduled to reach Heathrow International Airport at 3:30pm (local time).

The premier would be accorded a reception in London on June 14 on behalf of expatriate Bangladeshis for her outstanding successes in different fields, including the implementation of the much-awaited Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) with India.

Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to return home on the morning of June 18.

During her stay in London, she will meet her sister Sheikh Rehana and niece Tulip Siddiq, who has recently been elected a lawmaker of British parliament, among other family members.

The prime minister will also undergo medical checkups in the UK.
