JS to open help desk on budget for MPs

The Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat will launch a help desk on information of budget on Tuesday to assist lawmakers to deliver their speeches at the first budget session of the 11th parliament.

With the cooperation of Budget Analysis and Monitoring Unit (BAMU), the parliament secretariat will set up the desk at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, said an official release today. 

The lawmakers can collect information from the help desk before addressing the session on the budget issues, the release said.

“The budget help desk will play an important role in delivering informative, constructive and lively speech to be presented by the lawmakers,” the release adds.

The budget session of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad will begin on Tuesday (June 11).

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal will place the national budget for 2019-20 fiscal year in the parliament on June 13.

It would be the third session of the 11th parliament and first budget session of the Awami League government which assumed office after a landslide victory in the national election held on December 30, 2018.
