Mosharraf admitted to BSMMU
Mosharraf, a standing committee member of the party, was admitted to BSMMU in the early hours today and was later shifted to cardiology department, Syrul Kabir Khan, a senior member of the BNP chief's media wing, told The Daily Star.
Law enforcers picked up the BNP leader from his Gulshan residence on March 12, 2014 after a case was filed against him for laundering over Tk 9.53 crore to the United Kingdom.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against Mosharraf with Ramna Police Station on February 6 last year, stating that he had amassed the amount by misusing his power during his stint as health minister from 2001 to 2006, and deposited it with a bank in the UK.
