Arrest warrants for Bulu, 22 other BNP men

A Dhaka court issued arrest warrants against 23 leaders and activists of BNP-led 20-party alliance including Barkatullah Bulu, Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas and Maruf Kamal Khan in an arson case.

Accepting charges against 33 accused including the 23, Judge Kamrul Hossain Molla of Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court of Dhaka passed the order.

The court also fixed February 10 next year as the next date of hearing in the case.

On February 4, miscreants set fire to a vehicle in Airport area. On the same day, police filed the arson case accusing the 33 with Airport Police Station.

BNP leader Amanullah Aman and nine other accused are currently on bail in the case, while the rest 23 are on the run.
