Flyadeal launches Dhaka-Jeddah direct flights

Initially, the airline will operate two flights per week

Flyadeal, Saudi Arabia's budget airline and a subsidiary of Saudia, has officially started its operations in Bangladesh, launching direct flights between Dhaka and Jeddah.

The airline's inaugural flight departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka this afternoon, marking its first journey to Jeddah, according to a press release.

Flyadeal's Bangladesh operations were formally inaugurated by Air Vice Marshal Mohammad Mostafa Mahmud Siddiq, chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), in the presence of senior CAAB officials and the airline's local partners.

Despite being a budget carrier, Flyadeal will provide complimentary meals and baggage allowance for passengers. The new route is expected to reduce travel costs and increase competition in the Bangladesh–Saudi aviation market.

Initially, the airline will operate two flights per week. Flight F3-9112 will depart Jeddah at 1:30am local time for Dhaka, while the return service, Flight F3-9113, will leave Dhaka at 1:00pm for Jeddah.
