A launch passenger was killed today, a day before the Eid-ul-Azha, at Sadarghat launch terminal in Keraniganj when a launch hit another.

The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, 55, of Betagi upazila of Barguna district.

Eyewitnesses said Delwar berthed between two launches--MV Pubali and MV Maharaj-1 and died on the spot around12pm.

He was returning home to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with his family, they added.

On information, naval police recovered the body and sent it to Midford Hospital morgue for autopsy, police said.

A case of unnatural death was filed with South Keraniganj Police Station in this connection.
