In a drive today, lawmen detained 103 drug peddlers and addicts from Suhrawadi Udyan of Dhaka.
Acting on a tip off, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) accompanied by an executive magistrate raided Suhrawardy Udyan and made the detentions around 3:30pm.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Sarwar Alam, executive magistrate of Rab-3, told The Daily Star that 78 among them were jailed for various terms at the spot and the others released on mercy.
