Inqilab Moncho issues 24-day ultimatum for trial of Hadi’s killers

Inqilab Moncho has pressed the government to complete the trial of Sharif Osman Bin Hadi's murder within 24 days.

Abdullah Al Jaber, member secretary of the platform, announced the ultimatum from Shahbagh in Dhaka on Sunday night.

"The trial of the entire killing squad – including the killer, the mastermind, the accomplices, those who aided the escape, and those who provided shelter – must be completed within the next 24 days," he said.

The platform also pressed home its three-point demand, including suspending the work permits of Indians residing in Bangladesh.

"To protect the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh, the work permits of Indians must be suspended," Jaber added.

Other demands include filing a case against India in an international court if it refuses to return the convicted asylum seekers, as well as identifying "collaborators of fascists" within the civil and military intelligence.

At the same time, Jaber announced the conclusion of the day's blockade programme, Burhan Noman, a leader of Iqilab Moncho, told this correspondent.
